WESS having registration number -HR018201300643 is a NGO registered under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012, formed by 14 independent entrepreneurial and professional women with the aim of creating awareness among women for their safety and security, keeping in view the present scenario.
WESS is registered under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act. WESS is registered under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and is also approved under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for accepting the donations. Exemption continued beyond 2014-15, as per Chandigarh C.I.T order No CIT(Exemptions)/Chd/80G/2014-15/1579 dated 04-02-2015.

WESS is group of likeminded professionals and individuals united under the banner of "WESS" - Women Empowerment for Safety & Security, to impart training through various programs and workshops at schools, colleges, shopping malls and corporate offices etc.
WESS has initiated this social crusade for the welfare of women & children. It has come together for the selfless purpose and the cause to create a safer community for all citizens..
Our faith lies in the fact that every woman has a right to respectful living and it is important for women to claim their space in society. Our endeavour is to spread our aim through workshops, campaigns and events in future for the sensitization on safety and security of our women, children and the entire community.
